sacred places yatra

Book your place

begin your inner journey with us

Choose from 5-day introduction to a 30-day deep immersion

These sacred places are unknown to many people in modern days, but in Vedic times, these were the energy centres visited by our sadhus and yogis. Later, they narrated the glory of these places in their scriptures.

Some of the places we visit have a history dating back to Lord Vishnu, the Ramayana, and the Mahabharata. During these visits, we'll discuss the mythologies and perform rituals to connect with the high energy here.

In every place, we'll have our own priest to guide us through the ritual pujas. You'll see the main shrine and experience the unforgettable feeling of being blessed by the deities who reside here.

Itinerary

Day 1:

From the home of Lord Pashupatinath, Kathmandu, we travel in a private vehicle to Mugling towards the west of Nepal, where you'll start to see the snowy peaks of the Himalayas. Visit the Siddhapeeth of Maa Durga. Stay by the temple and perform rituals to connect with the goddess and do fire ceremony, Hawan, to invoke her energy.

Day 2:

We'll travel to the sacred cave of Lord Shiva's yogi avatar, from where yoga and tantra was re-established in modern times, around the 11th century. We'll visit the mystical temple, Goddess Kalika's Siddhapeeth, and perform a traditional tantrik ritual of the Nath Yogis. This is the gateway to the Himalayas.

Day 3:

Travel to the terai region of Western Nepal where you will start to see the indigenous Tharu people, wildlife and traditional cultural practices. Stay by the National Park, where you can spot tigers, rhinos, crocodiles and wild elephants and explore the ancient animistic roots of Nepali religion and herbalism.

Day 4:

Visit a holy town that still lives in the Vedic ways. Here we will explore the temples, ashrams and sacred caves that are still home to many devoted sadhus, yogis and sanyasi. This charming town is located on the banks of a sacred "prayag" where two holy rivers meet. We'll meditate here and experience the powerful energies, perform Vedic water rituals and understand why so many devotees come here.

Day 5:

We'll travel to a yogic land where three holy rivers meet. Here we'll explore colourful ashrams and sleepy temples, off the beaten track with not another tourist in sight. There are many mythologies based here from Vedic times and we'll learn them and join the evening Aarti Ceremony.

Day 6:

An easy hike through the jungle takes us to the forgotten ashram of the Ramayana. Here, in the middle of the jungle, where Goddess Sita did her penance, you will spend some time in meditation and meet with the Brahmin to perform a ritual together. This place has powerful energy and deeply significant mythologies, despite many people not even knowing it exists.

Day 7:

Arrive at the birthplace of Lord Buddha, Lumbini, and visit some of the ancient temples and monasteries here. Experience Vipassana meditation and the teachings of Buddhism. Meet with Lamas and stay in a traditional Buddhist monastery, experience the peace of monastic living.

Day 8:

After a morning ritual, we will travel to Pokhara, the city of seven lakes to receive the blessings of Goddess Barahi, the protector of the North. We will visit her temple overlooking the Himalayas and make offerings at the ancient Nath Yogi cave. A short hike takes us to the monument of Lord Shiva.

Day 9:

Travel to the birthplace of Goddess Parvati, and demon Ravan, and meditate in the sacred cave of Lord Shiva, which is hidden deep in the valley. Meet with the sadhus and yogis who meditate there. From here, we'll travel to the ancient hermitage of Saptarishis and meditate at the penance ground of Yogi Bharat, who the land of India is named after.

Day 10:

Greet the sacred river Kaligandaki and search for "Shaligrams", the living deity fossils found on her banks. We'll visit a shrine of Lord Shiva, once worshipped by the Saptarishis, and perform our Hawan ceremony. After taking blessings from this holy land, we'll travel back to Pokhara or Kathmandu (your choice) feeling transformed and enlightened.
